Minutes from the November 2013

Connecticut Robotics Society Meeting:


In attendance: 15

Jake's introduction, then he talked about the new maker space which is located at 30 Arbor St. in Hartford. 

The next meeting is on Nov. 20. They just signed a lease and have two rooms. Prices vary from 

$50.00 per year to $75 per month.  

Mike was up next and talked about the balloon project and showed some servos mounted on brackets 

he designed and printed on his 3D printer. The material is PLA.  They are looking at a spring 

launch date.  He also showed us two Arduino books he bought, and they are not recommended due to 

lots of mistakes. The books are by Warren, Adams, and Molle.

Chris showed us a 3D printed rim for an RC car that he and his son are making. Print time was 

about 3 hours for each rim. He also said he would be print more parts for the car.

Will showed us a PIC programmer that he built.

Eric P. and Owen showed us Owens Invention.

Erik K. showed us more on his Z80 project, and on his 8080 CPU project.

Mike did a quick Arduino demo with his servos.
