Minutes from the April 2013
Connecticut Robotics Society Meeting:
In attendance: 10
Jake told us the story of purchasing 10 Raspberry Pi's for the school @ $35.00 each, but they did not come with keyboards, mice, etc...
Jake & Li went to see the statue of liberty & the Makerbot store. The store was very small and unexciting.
They had 3D scans done of their heads and Jake showed us his that he printed.
Michael was up next and told us he bought a Tektronix 2215 scope for $50.00 on Craigslist.
He then showed us a circuit he built using an R2R network that could display his name on the oscilloscope. He used an ATMega328P and
wrote the program to plot the points.
Next he showed us an LED clock where he used Charlie plexing to save on I/O pins.
Jake then talked about the World Education Robot Contest (like the First Lego league)
Li showed us a simple calculator he made using a PIC 16F627A and an LED display.
Eric showed us the TI Stellaris Launch pad.
And last we had a huge give-away, Thanks to Mark and his company for tossing many items and also to Jake.
