Minutes from the November 2009
Connecticut Robotics Society Meeting:
The meeting started at 1pm
17 in attendance
First Jake started the meeting by showing a funny video he found on YouTube.
Next, John taught a class on RobotBasic. This is a great language for beginners and experienced programmers alike. It is free to download from http://www.robotbasic.org/. We all had laptops with the RobotBasic s/w loaded, and John stepped us through two challenges that he created for us.
Liz talked a little about a robot arm that she is working on.
Scott had a few interesting give-away items that he brought in.
Last up was Jim & Mark. Each built a Lego robot to solve the "Find the light contest" that we attempted at the October meeting. Both robots did a good job. Mark’s robot used the stock Lego light sensor while Jim opted to use a homebrew sensor made from a CdS photcell used in furnaces.
-- Great job to all.
The meeting adjourned about 3:30.
