Minutes from the May 2009

Connecticut Robotics Society Meeting:

 

The Connecticut Robotics Society would like to thank Mike Francoeur and Joining Technologies for opening up their facility to host our May meeting.

 

They were very generous, and treated us to lunch and handed out flash drives to all who attended. Thank you very much.

 
Thanks also go out to Scott Boynton for giving us a wonderful tour and overview of the company.
 
The tour consisted of showing several of their production lines which use electron beam welding and laser welding.
 

At the end of the tour, Scott showed us their KUKA robot and the LAP system (Laser Additive Process)

 

 

Joining Technologies does laser and EB welding, and they also perform an additive process which is used to repair used
