The meeting commenced at 1pm with introductions by Jake followed by giveaways of robot related literature, posters and other misc stuff that everybody was welcome to take.

Next, Mike M. demo'ed his latest project - a robot arm. Made from a variety of parts (even old Singer sewing machine parts) the arm used three different dc motors to provide three degrees of freedom. Mike used a Basic Stamp I to "script" the arm movement. A lot of time went into this project - thanks, Mike for bringing it in.
And finally one last talk by Jake ... Optimum antenna length for remote control.
